Using Zoom to church is pretty simple. But we know some of you have may need some help to use technology so we’ve put together our own step-by-step guide.

Step 1

You’ll receive an email from one of us with a link to Zoom service. We plan some tests ahead of the first Sunday and we will be online ahead of the service as well. Look for this email and click the link.

Step 2

The first time you click this link you’ll be taken to this page. Click on “Download from Google Play” or “Download from App Store” depending on your phone or tablet. Then click “Install” and wait for the App to install.

If you are on an Amazon Fire device then you may need to go the Amazon App Store (click here) to install the App. If your still having trouble then we can talk you through the process (contact us)

At this point its best to go back to your email and click the link again and you will be at step 3.

If that doesn’t work then click “Download from Zoom” and then Click “Download” then find the download and Install Zoom.

Step 3

Once installed and you’ve gone back to your email. Click the link once more. You will be prompted to Open Click Zoom and click Always. Note this might be different on an Apple device.

Step 4

Now you will be asked for your name, type your name in the box and click OK. You might be asked to agree to the terms etc, click on I Agree.

Step 5

You will now be prompted to allow Zoom access permission. Click Got It. Then you will be asked to Allow Zoom to record Audio. Click Allow.

Step 6

Now your in, you should see the video and hear people. Click on Join Audio where the “Call via Device Audio” is prompting.

If you want to show your video then you can tap the screen and click on Start Video. Then you will be asked to Allow Zoom to record Video, Click Allow

Your Done.

  • If you want to see more people then swipe from right to left.
  • If you want to mute yourself then tap the screen and click mute
  • If you want to stop video then tap the screen and click Stop Video
  • To leave, tap the screen and click Leave

Zoom have a number of guides on their web site, including one on joining meetings.
