Hello! If you are looking for somewhere to worship with a Sunday School then Philip Street Chapel maybe what you are looking for.

Here are the details of our activities for children on Sundays:

We have what is known as Early Birds to get started, this opens from about 10.15. As the children arrive they can come upstairs into the Early Bird room where there is a lot to do. The various activities include games, puzzles, colouring and a very popular play station. This is always supervised by an adult member of the Sunday School.

At 10.40 the children, along with the Sunday School teachers, join the main church service which starts at 10.45. After the first 10-15 minutes they go back upstairs into the main Sunday School room. The programme varies from week to week. Some weeks we have a Bible quiz which can be in the form of a crossword, noughts and crosses, hang man or completing a sentence that has some blank spaces and word searches. Then there is some singing and opportunity to give to the current missionary project. The missionary project is usually presented in a child friendly way with a target to reach and progress towards it added each week. Children then break up into their classes where they are taught from the bible by their own Sunday School teacher. Time goes very quickly and a bell is rung to indicate it is time to finish.

We also celebrate the individual child’s birthday and give a card. More fun things include the Christmas party and the outing in the summer. Crealy Adventure Park in Devon is a popular place for this.
